Guarantee Terms

Last updated October 2026

These terms explain when ValueFlick pays out if one of our authenticity results turns out to be wrong. They apply only to results purchased on the Guaranteed and Premium tiers. Basic results carry no guarantee.

Who is covered

The guarantee covers the person who purchased the authentication (the "licensee"). It is not transferable to later buyers, though anyone can verify a certificate at valueflick.com/verify.

How long

12 months from the date the result was issued.

What we pay

If an item we certified as authentic is later shown to be counterfeit under the claim process below, we pay the lesser of the guarantee limit for your tier (Guaranteed: $500; Premium Watch: $10,000) and your documented loss, which is:

If the documented amount is well above prevailing market value for the item, we may pay prevailing market value instead.

Making a claim

Email claims@valueflick.com with your certificate ID and the evidence that the item is not authentic, such as a written opinion from the brand or an accredited authenticator. We may ask you to send the item to us for inspection, and we will compare it against the photos captured at certification. We decide claims within 30 days of receiving everything we need.

Dispute fee

If we inspect the item and confirm it is authentic and matches our records, a dispute fee applies: $100 for items under $500, $175 for $500 to $1,000, and $250 above $1,000. You'll be told the fee before you send the item.

Exclusions

Nature of our opinion

A ValueFlick result is an opinion of authenticity based on our detection algorithms, expert review and reference database. It is not based on data supplied by any brand, and brands are not responsible for or bound by it.
